Axul — Free Online Azul Alternative (2–4 Players)
Axul is a free online multiplayer board game that plays like Azul: draft ceramic tiles from factory displays, complete your 1–5 tile pattern lines, tile your 5×5 palace wall for adjacency points, and dodge floor-line penalties. Create a room, share the 4-character code, and outscore friends in real time — or practice against easy, medium and hard computer bots. No download, no account.
How to play Axul (Azul rules)
- Draft: take all tiles of one color from one factory — leftovers slide to the center. First to take from the center also takes the first-player token.
- Place: put them on one pattern line (capacity 1–5). A line holds a single color, and only if that color is not already on your wall in that row. Overflow goes to the floor line (−1/−1/−2/−2/−2/−3/−3).
- Tile your wall: when factories and center are empty, completed lines move one tile each to the wall, scoring 1 point plus each connected horizontal and vertical neighbour.
- Win: after a round in which someone completes a horizontal wall row, add bonuses — +2 per finished row, +7 per finished column, +10 per finished color set. Highest score wins.
Why play Axul instead of hunting for Azul online?
- Free forever, in the browser — phone, tablet or desktop.
- Private rooms with shareable codes and invite links; automatic reconnects keep your seat.
- Smart bots fill empty seats at three difficulties.
