How does water become clouds and snow?

Water heated by Lava or Fire becomes Steam (life 160, rises 86% per tick). At y≤14 Steam 22% condenses into Cloud (life 190). Cloud drifts 4% and rains Water (or 48% Snow when high y<18), which piles like sand and melts 12% near heat.

How do seeds grow into plants?

Paint Soil as a bed, Seed directly on or diagonally above it, with Water within 2 cells and air above — 16% per tick it sprouts into a 2-tall Plant. Plants grow upward 2.8% while water is nearby and burn 5% near Fire.

Is Elements free and does it need download?

Yes — free in any browser at etoo.in/elements, no download, no account. Uses two Uint8Arrays (21 KB) at 60fps, works on desktop and mobile, with WebAudio per-element sounds.

How to Play Elements

Pick: Choose an element from the left palette (Sand, Water, Acid, Lava, Snow, Iron, Diamond, etc.) — active glows violet. Choose brush • (1px), ● (3px), ⬢ (5px).
Paint: Click and drag inside the box. Scroll wheel cycles brush size. The box is closed on all four sides — nothing escapes.
Mix: Water on Lava → Stone + Steam → Cloud at the ceiling → Rain/Snow. Seed on Soil + Water within 2 cells → Plant. Acid dissolves Wall/Brick/Wood/Iron. Oil floats and burns.
Life & Blast: + Human spawns walkers that flee Lava/Fire/Acid, ↗ Missile launches with trail, Bomb (r10) and Nuke (r22) create shockwaves.
